Amazon.com Product Description
By itself, the RoomGroove makes an ideal iPod speaker and dock system, but combine it with other RoomGroove speakers, and you get an affordable, high-performance wireless home audio system that dynamically brings iPods, MP3 players, and any device with an audio output to life.

The RoomGroove iPod speaker system uses premium woofers, crossovers, and horn-loaded tweeters.

Enjoy your portable music in any room of the house. View larger.

Robust 2.4GHz wireless technology lets you listen to music on your computer via other RoomGrooves in your house. View larger.
Designed as a clean and robust home speaker solution, you can create a wireless speaker system by using two or more RoomGrooves or KlipschCast systems--no wires or complicated setup are required. Each RoomGroove acts as a transmitter or receiver, meaning it can wirelessly send CD-quality music to other RoomGrooves or receive CD-quality music from transmitting RoomGrooves.

The robust 2.4 GHz wireless technology found in the RoomGroove offers unlimited add-on opportunities. To ensure that your RoomGroove network doesn't disturb other wireless devices, RoomGrooves are designed to sniff out your entire 2.4 GHz band to detect other wireless technologies in use, such as wireless routers, and then transmit around the spectrum used by those sources. You can avoid interference from neighboring systems by using the home code dial on each wireless RoomGroove speaker to select a code specific to all of your units.

As an added convenience, the RoomGroove gives you a choice of listening options based on what room you're in. For instance, if a home has three RoomGrooves and "Song A" is playing in the bedroom and "Song B" is playing in the office, then the RoomGroove in the kitchen can listen to either song or play what's on its own iPod.

Under the hood, the RoomGroove speaker system packs in premium 2.5-inch woofers, crossovers, and 1-inch horn-loaded tweeters to deliver accurate, efficient, and compromise-free acoustics. A frequency response range of 65 Hz to 17 kHz ensures that the music comes out crisp and clear.

The RoomGroove features a retractable dock that charges all iPods with dock connectors and comes with Apple universal well inserts to accommodate multiple iPod sizes. Other digital devices can connect easily via an auxiliary input.

The RoomGroove not only brings out the best in your iPod, it also will work with your computer. All you have to do is connect the RoomGroove to your computer via its auxiliary input. Once it's connected, you can broadcast your computer's entire music library, including content from your favorite Internet radio station, to other RoomGrooves around your house.

Measuring 15.75 x 7 x 4.5 inches, the RoomGroove weighs six pounds. A remote control is included with the RoomGroove for added convenience. The RoomGroove is backed by a 1-year limited warranty.

3 out of 5 stars Compatibility Issues   September 28, 2008

Do not purchase these for use with newer ipods. They will not charge the most recent Ipod and Ipod Nano devices, which makes them relatively useless.

However, the sound quality of these speakers is fantastic, and the setup for the wireless transmission is effortless. Transmission between the units is mostly accurate, even in the very crowded wireless spectrum of my apartment. On occasion, the sound will drop out a bit, but not enough to really matter.

5 out of 5 stars Very good machine   September 7, 2008

First, I appreciate the ease of set-up, I am not mechanically inclined, so the simplicity with which it is ready to go - that's important to me. Second, it has very good sound for its size. No, it's not a great big massive thousand's of dollars speaker/stereo system, rather it is a nice compact unit that is well made and puts out sound that is pleasing - enough volume to fill a room. Third, when I have the cash, I can purchase a couple more units and put one in each section of the house - creating a surround-sound kinda' thing goin' on. Last, I had it set up in the kitchen where I spend a lot of time(three teenage boys!)- and a couple days ago I notice its gone, and from the depths of the basement I hear the Beatles - Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds - my 15 year-old had jack'd it - so, that's the tech-savy, trend-savvy,15-year-old review - he plays it non-stop.

5 out of 5 stars Great low price system   September 5, 2008
Connor & Emily's Mom (Phoenix, Az)
I was looking at a much more expensive ipod speaker system when the salesman spoke so highly of this one. I think its great, well worth the money. The sound is GREAT for such an affordable system. I was very impressed and I highly recommend this product.

5 out of 5 stars Finally a wireless that performs   July 15, 2008

I'm downstairs listening to music playing on my iPod connected to a RoomGroove transmitting upstairs from in my bedroom. The sound is truly inspiring in both rooms. There are none of the typical issues that you have with wireless speakers and I've tried a few - returned all of them.

Another reviewer wrote that the remote does not work as expected. I have different results to report. I used the remote pointed at the downstairs RoomGroove to advance to the next song when then iPod is connected to the RoomGroove upstairs. This system could not have been designed to work better than that.

On the box Klipsch chose to display these words in large bold letters:

Power Detail Emotion

Yes, yes, and yes. The RoomGroove absolutely delivers what it promises.

FYI - I just ordered a third Room Groove.

5 out of 5 stars Best Wireless Speaker   June 23, 2008

I originally bought 2 of these, they worked flawlessly. I since bought two more, all continue to work flawlessly. They are easy to setup and use. I have a lot of complex high-end gear, it is refreshing to see that someone like Klipsch can make a device that is so simple to use. The one thing I wish they could do is accept HDMI input.
