5 out of 5 stars Great For PC Users switching to Mac   May 17, 2008
Wm. (NY, NY)
Product works perfectly if u install the software from the site and and NOT the software on the disc included. Aside from the fact that theres no caps lock indicator, I have no problem with this keyboard. I love that ALL of the buttons on the mouse are customizable. Great bonus is that you can use it for a PC too. Bottomline, if you are primarily a PC user and you are Mac beginner, this is the perfect product for you as it still has a PC keyboard feel.

5 out of 5 stars The Best Cordless Combo for your Mac   May 15, 2008

I love this thing. The mouse and keyboard are easy on the wrist, have all my Mac functions on the keyboard, and the price can't be beat. I was very pleased with this purchase.

5 out of 5 stars Great keyboard   May 11, 2008
James Eason (Chicago)
I love this keyboard, so don't take what I'm writing as negative criticism: just some things that the purchaser needs to know.

(1) Negative-ish things about keys. There is no light or indicator on the caps lock key. I never notice when the light is lit on these things, so there's no difference to me and it probably saves some battery power, but if you depend on the light to let you know, be aware of this.
The command key is smaller than it is on most Macintosh keyboards. It takes about a minute to get used to it.
The home-end-page up-etc. keys are laid out oddly. (But see below.)

(2) Good things about keys. The help key is moved up into the function key row and the "backspace" and "delete" keys are really large (Hurray! no more getting help when all you wanted to do was erase a character).
The escape key is well up and away from the regular keys. This takes a bit of getting used to, but once it becomes automatic, it's wonderful. On the new platinum-flat keyboards, the escape key is way too cozy with the screen-dim-bright key. Those of you who do a lot of Unix/Terminal typing will appreciate the problem.
For those of us who are more accustomed to typewriter-like response, this keyboard is a blessing. It's in between a Selectric-like feeling and a notebook-style feeling. I like the feel and yet don't have a problem moving over to my notebook, as I had with some of the older keyboards. (Except that the wrist rest is enough like a notebook that I occasionally reach down with my thumb to move the mouse.)
Installation on a G5 Mac was a breeze. Others have spoken about Intel Macs. The control over the keyboard and mouse that the software affords seems quite detailed. I kept most of the default settings, which have so far been just about right for my use.

5 out of 5 stars Great product: A great cordless desktop for Mac   May 10, 2008
A. J. Davis (Portland, OR)
I have had my Logitech Cordless desktop for about a month now and I love this product. I'm using it on a 15" Macbook Pro and everything works exactly as it should. What little configuration that needed to be done was quick and took less than five minutes. Aesthetically, it has good action on the keys, they're neither too messy or too stiff. The mouse is comfortable in the hand and, again, everything works just as it should.

I don't know what it was that others were having problems with but my s530 has performed flawlessly, as I have come to expect after a decade of using Logitech products.

5 out of 5 stars Great keyboard and mouse combo for iMac   May 9, 2008

This plugged right into USB and has a gang of Mac-specific features right out of the box. Definitely a good choice for me, lots of mouse buttons like forward, back, vol up, down, and mute, a tilt scroll wheel and 3 main click buttons (left, right, scrollwheel). Good laser tracking on my wood table, except for occasional wanderings on a certain part of the grain. Easily solved by using most any other mousing surface.
