The CaseMate Gloves certainly lives up to its "minimalist" billing and it's attractive and sturdy. But it seems a tight stretch for the 17" machine, with the velcro barely matching up, and only then, with the lid pulled down very tight (I added my own velcro strip further up the case). Also, I'd have liked to see a handle. Otherwise, it's a very useful product if you're carrying the laptop in another container, like a backpack
