I ordered this for use as backup to the built-in Airport in my MacPro. I ran into couple of problems with the unit after installing it: even though the signal was very strong, the unit got massive amount of collision errors causing the web pages to display very slow and sluggish. After a call to their support, I was referred to their Engineering support since Tech support can't help. After couple of email exchanges, I was sent a new driver for the unit. After installing this driver the collision errors went away but the web pages were still displayed very slow. The stats screen showed large number of retries. Engineering support suspected interference caused the problem and suggested to switch to another channel. After switching the wireless router to another channel, the retries went away and the unit works great since. Don't know why the Airport did not have this problem but since it now works great I'm happy with it.
I'd recommend this unit for anyone who needs a backup, or has a need to use an external antenna for extended range.

I'm totally satisfied with this product. It greatly extends the range and signal strength of wireless signals. It worked immediately upon installation, the directions for which were perfectly clear. This was in contrast to a competitor's unit I had purchased previously and returned.

I ordered this for my wife's iMac, which can't upgraded to 802.11n internal (airPort) wireless adaptor. I connected the HWUN1A and installed the supplied software and it worked right away. The only drawback was that when the machine was restarted at a later date it didn't connect to the network automatically. I think that I have fixed this by adding a profile for our home network in the software provided with the product.
