this skin provides great look and finish to my macbook. I was looking for something that will keep the looks of my macbook as is and was definitely not looking for macbook covers, they are good for protection but hide the beauty of macbook.
This is great product, i can still show off the looks of my macbook and same time it protects the macbook.
However while applying it to the macbook you need to have lots of patience. It took me almost 2 hours just to do top and bottom part of macbook. Read all the reviews here and even other reviews for same product but different macbook models. I read it somewhere to apply the liquid religiously and that did the trick. You have to apply the liquid as much as you can, don't be afraid of spoiling macbook (make sure you have some clean towel handy with you, so that you can wipe off the excess liquid). Advantage of putting good amount of liquid is it can glide on the macbook and you can adjust edges of plastic well.
There are helpful videos available on youtube please see them before you proceed, it will give you fair idea of how to use this product. Good luck.

I'm a long-time user of Invisible Shield products, and I've absolutely loved them on my iPods. They look and feel equally great on the MacBook, but I have to say that this product was a bit difficult to apply. On something the size of a laptop, it takes a lot of patience to get all the lines and holes arranged appropriately. I'd estimate that I resprayed and reapplied each panel a half dozen times before it was acceptable, so this is definitely recommended for people with a bit of patience.
And a tip for future users: don't be afraid to use a good amount of liquid while applying!

Works great and looks great. Previously I used the plastic cover purchased from the Apple Store. It is much thicker. I enjoy the thin Invisible Shield. I only installed it on the top cover. Just use plenty of solution water when installing the Invisible Shield to prevent bubbles. The covering is amazing in that it really does not scratch under normal use or even upon mild abuse. Cost is about the same or less as plastic cover if purchased on line. I found it less on Amazon.

I've had this invisbleshield on for about four days now... And I had read the first review regarding the heat so I was skeptical to get it. I took a reading of the CPU idle temp before I put the skin on (58- 60) and after (58-60). Installation was super easy, and it definitely protects the outer cover and the keyboard area quite nicely. I would highly recommend it!
